Ingredients

For the smoothie base:
  • 2 1/4 cups frozen raspberries
  • 3 oz unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
For the garnish:
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tbsp dried goji berries
  • 1 tsp hemp hearts

Method

  1. Add the frozen raspberries, cranberry juice, chia seeds, honey, lime juice, and almond milk to a blender in that order. Start with the liquids and softer ingredients at the bottom so the frozen fruit doesn't get stuck on the blades. Blend on high speed for 60-90 seconds until completely smooth and creamy—you want a thick, soft-serve consistency that holds its shape when scooped, not a thin drinkable smoothie. I like to pause halfway through and give the blender a shake to ensure everything is evenly combined, especially those chia seeds.
  2. Divide the blended smoothie mixture from Step 1 between 2 bowls, pouring it evenly and using a spatula to help transfer the thick mixture. Working quickly while the base is still cold, arrange the fresh raspberries, sliced strawberries, dried goji berries, and hemp hearts on top in whatever pattern appeals to you. I recommend grouping similar toppings together for visual appeal, and placing the softer fresh berries first so they don't sink into the smoothie base as it softens.
